Funding inspired stories - Seeding bold experiments
This micro-grant initiative backs grassroots NGOs and individuals with bold, early-stage ideas that often go unfunded — especially in rural, tribal, or aspirational districts. It nurtures innovation, risk-taking, and community-led solutions.

As I started my social sector journey in 2021, I met several inspiring people doing great work in remote areas and often with no publicity. This inspired me and I felt there are innumerable such inspiring people across India who are often unknown and must be supported. We decided to first do a pilot funding for about 4 NGOs through LMP promisors and in 2025 we expanded the initiative, received over 230 applications and are funding about 12 NGOs in total. These are mostly startups doing work in remote areas who need financial support and mentorship.
