Freedom Fund –
Powering possibility with trust

Unrestricted, multi-year grants to NGOS, allowing the freedom decide where resources are most needed.

The Freedom Fund was launched to enable resilience, innovation, and systemic change by trusting leaders to make the best decisions for their organization.
Over 28 members support the fund, with Promisors spearheading selection and disbursement. The trust-based model changes how philanthropy works.

Doc - Freedom Fund.jpg

At the 2023 LMP Annual retreat, we identified a key problem: most grants are restricted to programs, leaving nonprofits struggling to thrive. This led the promisors to collaboratively launch the LMP Freedom Fund – a trust-based, multi-year grant. Since then, we have disbursed nearly ₹3.5 crores, catalysing significant organizational growth among our grantees.
